Arthur Douet
Arthur Douet is a world renowned visual artist who emphasizes the importance of living in the present moment. On his web site, you will find a gallery of his paintings in oil, pastels, and lithographs which includes a famous series known as "Angel Lights Along the Nile", other angels portrayed in color as glowing light, scenes from Bali, as well as many privately commissioned "soul portraits."
A Jamaican-born visual artist, teacher, and lecturer - Douet studied at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris (1966-69) and then at the Art Students' League of New York in 1975. He currently resides in Austin, Texas where he free lances as artist and portrait painter. He has taught extramural classes in imaginative composition and portraiture at the University of Houston, the University of St. Thomas, and Unity centers.
